This card came up on January 24. We’ve been encountering a run of repeat cards recently! Time to check ourselves and see if we’re listening to the cards’ messages! Here is the reading from January 24:

This is the third card in a row this week that has come up reversed. There seems to be a theme. Are you stuck in a rut, spinning your wheels? Are you feeling like you’re facing a brick wall whenever you try to get somewhere? This card suggests that it has to do with your approach to your problems. The Seven of Swords tends to appear when someone in your life is sneaking around behind your back, lying, stealing, being unfaithful. Could it be you doing these things to yourself? Perhaps you’re self-sabotaging by distracting yourself, procrastinating, and putting imaginary obstacles in your way. We humans can be very good at lying to ourselves. Take some time today to sit down and reflect on your recent choices and consider your motivation for them. You might see a pattern of self-destructiveness emerge. If so, call it what it is. Analyze and dismantle it so you can move forward.

Today’s reading carries the specific message that someone might be going behind your back to do something unpleasant. Be aware of this possible development and prepare to take action if necessary. Don’t be afraid to be confrontational. You are entitled to protect your boundaries and to expect honorable behavior from those with whom you associate.
