Someone has “done you wrong” - ripped you off, been unfaithful, betrayed a confidence, let you down in a significant way. Either this has recently happened, or you’re about to discover it. The emotional repercussions have been (or will be) major for you. In dealing with them, try to remember that it’s only the culprit who’s at fault here, not you. Also, while it doubtless would feel good to confront the person and call him or her out, avoid the temptation to do that. It would only inflame your emotions and allow the other person to get his or her hooks even more deeply into you. The best course of action is to cut all ties, both emotional and practical, with the person and simply fade him or her out of your life, PERMANENTLY. In the future, you may feel the urge to reconnect in some way. Resist it with every fiber of your being. It would be a very bad idea. You need to move on for good.
