You may have just gone through a period of frantic action or upheaval. It may have involved a move, a breakup, or a sudden illness or injury. If so, be assured that eventually the outcome will be positive, but for now, you must find a way to deal with the stress. You need to take a break - stop the constant activity and choose to rest in stillness. When you achieve inner calm, you can restore your equilibrium. The Four of Swords advises taking time to be by yourself. Stay away from phones, the internet, and TV. Instead, spend time in prayer or meditation, or simply focus on your breathing. When obtrusive thoughts invade your mind, gently usher them out. The world can run without your input for a little while. This is not wasting your time in idleness - you’re quietly rebuilding your mental and spiritual foundation. The more often we take time to ourselves to replenish the peace within, the deeper our roots will grow and “ground” us. With deep roots, a tree can withstand the winds of a hurricane.
