The cards of the past two days, The Chariot and The Sun, have encouraged you to plunge ahead with your ambitions and to “seize the day”, taking advantage of the powerful energies that are now at your disposal. But now we have Le Pendu, the Hanged Man, in the reading, symbolically saying “Hang on!” There’s a need for you to stop pushing in one area of your life. Something is preying on your mind because you can’t seem to get it to go the way you want, no matter how hard you try. This card advises you to let go of this issue. Don’t try to force things. You have a tendency to pull up the flowers to see how they are growing. Just leave them alone to grow on their own. Relax and relinquish control. It could be that this isn’t the right time to pursue this particular goal, or that other people are involved and must make their own choices in life without pressure from you. This card also suggests pausing to re-evaluate and look at the situation from a different perspective. Perhaps you’ve come up against a block that can only be surmounted by backing up and trying another path. As a football coach once told me, “You don’t always have to go straight through! You can go around!
